OUR STORY
the chef
My name is Carmelo, Moriviví's chef. I've been in the culinary industry for over 15 years.
I fell in love with cooking in Puerto Rico, which is home. My first professional opportunity was in an Italian restaurant where I was mentored by Chef Giorgio. Being at the beginning of my career, I became very curious about flavor fusions.
In 2008, I decided to move to the United States and life brought me to Orlando, Florida. In my years here, I have worked for several well-known restaurants and luxury hotels such as The Grand Bohemian and currently at the Four Seasons, Orlando.
While in Orlando, in 2016, I had the honor of being nominated for the Pineapple Award for Outstanding Culinary Employee.
In 2019, I worked alongside my chefs at the Four Season Orlando to create the new Plancha Brunch Menu, in Tranquilo Golf Course. This led to Plancha receiving the Orlando Weekly "Critic's Pick: Best Brunch in Orlando".
This same year, 2019, brought a series of learning experiences. And out of the desire of spending more time with the family and my wife, Moriviví was born.
I carry all these achievements with great pride because of my passion for feeding people really good food.
Moriviví is now my flavor & fusion playground and I'm excited to see what comes next.

Hey everyone! My name is Arlene, Visioneer behind Moriviví's aesthetic designs and major paper enthusiasts.
I've worked in hospitality and events for over ten years. Unexpectedly we found ourselves going from a family of 4 to a family of 6 with the arrival of our twins in 2014. Evolving as a woman, wife, and stay at home mom led me to a newfound passion, event decorating, and papercrafts.
In 2019, our minds started turning, and out of the desire of working together, Moriviví was born.
Shortly after, I discovered I had fallen in love with tablescapes, and once again, life's shifts have taken me to establish my latest venture, 65 Bloom, where I design micro-events and also dive in a little more into my passion for paper and hand made stationery.
Together, we are creating pretty amazing dining experiences and we hope to meet you soon!
